Nationally Certified Master Groomer- The National Dog Groomers Association of America worked with groomers promoting and encouraging professionalism and education in grooming. They have set recognized grooming standards and offer groomers the opportunity to have their skills certified. Certification is the standardization method to obtain professional recognition for those pet groomers whose knowledge, techniques, abilities and skills have been tested and thereby certified as having met the high standards set forth by the National Dog Groomers Association of America. What NDGAA Certification means……. In order to become a NDGAA certified groomer, the groomer must meet NDGAA’S high standards of grooming excellence by undergoing and passing a series of strenuous tests both written and practical designed to evaluate their grooming skills and expertise. An NDGAA Certified Master Groomer has not only tested and certified in all of the breed categories earning a high required passing score but must pass an additional Master’s exam consisting of 400 questions. Here at Best Paw Forward we believe that regular grooming for your pets not only keeps them looking good but healthier as well. Professional grooming requires artistic skills, knowledge of skin and coat, health problems and behavior. Our focus is on quality full service grooming while keeping your pet comfortable and stress free. We ask that each pet remain with us for 2 ½ to 4 hours to complete the groom. This time is necessary to keep a low stress environment and allows your pet crucial rest periods between segments of the groom. Our products are top quality and do not contain artificial ingredients or added fragrance. We carry a diverse selection enabling us to address every animal’s skin and coat needs. Whether you choose a bath or a breed specific haircut, a personality trim or a smoothie your pet’s groom will be done with the utmost care and professionalism.
Acupressure offers animals thousands of years of natural healing and optimal health. It is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a form of energetic healing. Animals are highly responsive to acupressure since they are very in tune with their bodies. They have no preconceived notions as to it’s effectiveness, they only respond to what works. By balancing your animals energetics you can prevent illness, maintain their sense of well being and resolve health issues. Current conventional and eastern medicine’s scientific studies and clinical observation have proven that the benefits of acupressure include: reducing fear, anxiety and stress, dealing with issues of aging and past injuries, improving body flexibility and mobility, relieving muscle spasms and stiffness, strengthening muscles, tendons, joints and bones, building the immune system to resolve or prevent illness, balancing energy to optimize the body’s natural ability to heal, releasing of natural cortisone to reduce swelling and inflammation, releasing endorphins necessary to increase energy or relieve pain, enhancing mental clarity and calm required for focus in training, and resolve injuries more readily by increasing the blood supply and removing toxins. You can participate in your animal’s health by learning a few essential acupressure points that you can use between professional acupressure sessions. I will assess your animal with you, offer him a specific set of acupressure points during a comprehensive session that will address your animal’s particular needs and leave you with a set of acupoints that you can use on your own.
